This place had been one of the earliest reviews(review here) of this blog when I started which wasn’t too long ago. There are now new items being introduced to their menu. For those reading about this place for the first time, its a very homey style cooking which reminds me of back home in Penang where my grandma would cook this dishes as well.
Loaded with loads of fresh seafood items from [...]

Ahoy me mateys! Popped over recently to try out Manhattan’s latest promo which is their mediterranean baked fish. The last time I did a review was on their Rush hour promo which made it very convenient for us to order over the phone and have it ready to be picked up and packed nicely for people on the go.

I’ve been driving past this outlet for quite a while (every morning to work) telling myself that I should visit this place since its frontage caught my eye with its rather distictive red white and blue. I’ve tried going there for dinner before and they were really pack so had to give it a miss. So after a looong while that opportunity finally came after a practice photography session [...]

Hidden right in the bustling enclave of food in SS2, resides a restaurant that serves Shanghai-style dishes like dim sum at affordable prices. It is already well known among the locals for its affordable but yet tasty dishes. Take note that this restaurant is not to be confused with a restaurant chain that has a somewhat similar name – Dragon-i.
As you can see it was raining and [...]

Chi Ka Yin located at Bandar Puteri, Puchong is a restaurant that aims to provide home cooked style Hakka dishes and the ambiance of home dinning experience. The name reflects perfectly what it aims to do which is relative or own people/ family when directly translated from Hakka Chinese dialect as I’m told.
Introduced to us by our fellow foodie (Yew Li), we made our way to this [...]

Why do we like eating dim sum? One of the many reasons I can think of and my personal opinion is because it allows us to taste and try many different varieties from steamed, baked and fried items. Usually I would have it on a weekend and this time it is no different. Organised by Ken, a few of us gathered together for a dim sum meal. What is different this time round is that it is a buffet dim [...]

It was raining very heavily that day and I couldn’t ask for a better meal than a nice hot bowl of porridge. Seemed very appropriate on a cold rainy day.
Reading from some of the articles adorned on their wall, this business was started 30 years ago by the parents of the current owners, the Lee siblings.

Known for its popular fresh seafood porridge and also duck [...]

Just opened a few months back, Mum’s Seafood Noodle House offers food lovers home style cooked food. Tucked away in The Strand, Kota Damansara (a fairly new commercial development) finding this hidden gem isn’t so difficult since it has a rather famous nyonya restaurant (The Wok) neighbour located a few shoplots away.
Some of their dishes are pictured on the left of the [...]

Sunway Giza Shopping Mall just opened less than a few weeks ago with its anchor tenant, The Village Grocer and a few other outlets but already the crowd is starting to come in. There are quite a few food outlets already open and I had this urge for Italian today and decided to try out this Italian outlet with my makan buddy, Ken. This is their second outlet as the first one is located in Jaya33, [...]
