I’ve been driving past this outlet for quite a while (every morning to work) telling myself that I should visit this place since its frontage caught my eye with its rather distictive red white and blue. I’ve tried going there for dinner before and they were really pack so had to give it a miss. So after a looong while that opportunity finally came after a practice photography session with my fellow foodies at a nearby park in TTDI. It was rather good timing since we had all worked up an appetitte.
Betty’s Midwest Kitchen is situated along Aman Suria, next to Dataran Prima both of which faces the NKVE. Closeby is the Tropicana Golf Club.
The Midwestern United States (in the U.S. generally referred to as the Midwest) is one of the four geographic regions within the United States of America. Another term sometimes applied to the same general region is “the heartland” and this region consists of twelve states in the north-central United States: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio and Wisconsin.

As the name and theme of colours suggest, it emulate a classic american outlet so inline with this midwestern theme, the style of cooking is generally meant to be homey, simple and hearty yet tasty. Some of the typical dishes are ranging from light foods and soups (chicken noodle soups, burgers) to hearty meals (meatloaf, casseroles dishes, pork ribs and pork bellies).

As the space within this outlet may not be as big in comprison to other outlets, their table arrangements can be changed to suit the number of guest in the party you have. This is something that I have noticed which is good.Actually it was very pack but I had only taken this picture after we had already finnished our lunch because I was reaaaly hungry and it was late so the lunch crowd had already left.
It seems to be a common interior design now to let customers have a view of the kitchen. I suppose this shows how clean and hyginic their place is at the same time smell all the lovely aroma coming out from it if you’re close enough.

Everywhere you look, you will definitely see either images of pigs on paintings and posters or small little knick knacks.
A classic American image but this time with a hog in a chopper titled – mean machine. Coincidentally their special for the week was Hog Wild!

Another thing that popped up to me was the slogan they had on their menu – “America on a plate”. Sounds very appropriate.

Piggies everywhere
The dog food is really tasty, although some may feel odd that the fries are soggy(because of the gravy) it goes down really well.
